Pending Immigration Legislation Apr. 2010

  • 12-09-09   New Regulations issued by CIS for Religious Workers entering the United States.    To address fraud issues in R1 petitions, U.S. Immigration now requires a new application process.  Ministers, religious professionals, and vocational workers applying for visas must, in part, now obtain the following: on-site inspection of sponsoring church; approval by CIS of form I-129; detailed compensation and other financial evidence; current IRC 501(c)(3) determination letter; increased processing time.
